All these costumes look amazing, love the work you've all put in to add a bit of personality to your jumpers I started work on preparing my Freddy Jumper today, and I would like to share the process so far.
Looks pretty good, I think the "Jumper" is heading in the right direction, looks more random with the burns, but could use more weathering/dirt. Looks awesome though

Thank you, I am going to add some more weathering to it to dirty it up a bit more and add a few burns and scorches to the back. I don't want to do anymore to the front, I think less is more with this. And as it's not based on any particular Elm St movie, there's really no reference to compare it to
ps, forgot folks in the States call Jumpers "Sweaters" haha
take a lighter and lightly char some parts of the shirt. then take some black and brown paint, water them down, stir it up with a brush and splatter the shirt from a few feet away. you can even smere some on with a rag and grind it in to the pavement. I got a little carried away with some of the burn holes, but other than that was completely pleased with my results.
Good tip Jacobzking, but I want mine to look natural, which is the reason I burnt mine rather than use black spray paint. Using paint to me just seems too deliberate. I do love the way yours looks tho. For mine I blow torched the whole thing, then went back and added a few random scorch marks. It still has a burny smell to it haha.
