After ogling a set of jim's flexible fiberglass armor at a Garrison event yesterday, I've got to ask a few questions.
Will the epoxy/gel coat reduce the cracking that I'm told is inevitable with this flexible fiberglass?
Should we be reenforcing the interior to keep it rigid?
Does your TD plate have the little hook on the top that holds it to the back?
Are you leaving indentations for magnets on the back to hold the two sides together?
Is the cod shaped for TFA or TLJ?

There's debate on the new cod but initial close comparison does show it to be a lot slimmer. As basic approval goes the current cod will be fine. The new shape will likely be a Lvl 2/3 mod.

Cheers for that! Seeing this pic from the site (Sorry its stolen lol) the codpiece has changed. That's settled that one! Gonna keep an eye on that thread. I see there are a few more tweaks they have made. But that's enough about cod pieces for today! Unless its Fish and chips! (Fires for our American friends! )

This is a different type of fibreglass than what has been used on those kits. It is still fibreglass but It has much greater structural properties. Without giving too much away Im reinforcing different areas in different ways. Some areas are more rigid with higher strength but have less flex and vice versa, but I’ll leave it to you guys to do full reviews on the material.
the TD has a lip to register its height on the ab plate yes but no there are no pre positioned areas or inlays on the back of the ab plate for magnets etc.
initially you will be receiving the TFA version of the spats, TD, and cod but yes they are different and once this is all finished I will be modifying those parts to produce TLJ versions which everyone on this run only will receive both versions of. Unfortunately as I’m so far on with the TFA version we’ll just have to roll with it for now, the TLJ version upgrades won’t be finished for the premiere.
back in the workshop FULL TIME!!! From the end of this week for the foreseeable future, until all of your armor is delivered!

This deal just keeps getting sweeter, look forward to seeing some of your hard work soon Paul,the family are having a break early next February near the Forest of Dean where they shot some of force awakens so I think I will be taking my suit for some awesome photos

Hey Shawn,
yes I’ll do a little example of what I think is the best way to trim an edge at some point. I’m hoping most people will be able to get it to fit without trimming anything.
