Foam detailing, any tips?

As the title says, I'm looking for tips on detailing foam armor. The design I'm doing has lots of "detail strips" and I know with Worbla you can archieve this easily and clean, but my detailing on foam always turns out messy.

I'm also looking for tips in general, so if you have any, drop 'em here! :)

People use 2mm foam in general and worbla as you mentioned, but also the Dremel or woodburning tool.

you can get an engraving kit for the Dremel which has multiple small tips for different applications... and really it's just practice make perfect.

making templates help as well or using straight edges...just be sure you are working in the direction of the rotation and not against it.
