Flash DC Online armoured

WOW..that came out great!.. is the from shapeways??... They must be amazed by some of the stuff that gets printed off... I wonder if they sneak a few samples:p

It is from shapeways :) pictures look good but after primer it's a little rough :( and under the chin is super rough.. I'll post some pics soon once I get busy on it. But I think it will be pretty nice :)

Looking good C!

I'm not a Flash man myself, but still can't wait to see it finished :)

Thanks for all the comments :) I have been working on it slowly, molding soon... as for an undersuit...not sure, maybe a printed suit like the Spiderman suits you can get printed, change the file a bit..never really thought that far ahead. I suppose if there is enough interest I will probably make an undersuit (or the file for one) and maybe do the armour as well :)

Any idea what you will be using as an undersuit?

i am hoping that if you do eventually offer this item, that we will be able to get just the cowl without having to also purchase the suit as well.

Actually I wasn't offering an undersuit. The question was asked what I would use for an undersuit..but I really haven't thought that far ahead...trying to get the cowl mastered :p lots and lots of primer and sanding..then some more sanding :) soon it will be ready

What I'm working on is the cowl, wings and the chest emblem ...so far..

the 3D print came out AMAZING!!..

Where did you get it done at? (shapeways?)

Do you mind sharing what the total cost of something that size/scale being printed cost?

great job!

Thanks for the comments, still sanding and filling, 3D prints are not just print and mold :p

And as far as price, Shapeways has a formula, so it really depends on what the volume of your model is. Go to the site and take a look. I probably wont be using them again, as I didn't have my 3D printer set up for bigger prints then, soon it will be :)

If you don't mind me asking, what's your process for preparing/finishing the 3D prints? Do you prime it then sand or do you do any bondo or filler and sand that?

If anyone is interested in buying one of these I have the pics of the first pull up now. :) in the JY
