First pic of the licensed Korben Dallas Blaster - Fifth Element

Cast from the real deal, electronics, moving trigger, metal parts, COA, plaque, display stand ... $249 :eek This is getting better and better. Can´t wait to order one :cool Big THANKS for the info updates Matt!

Got some more info recently. Neglected to post it. Sorry about that. Here's the latest:

SRP will be $249. NICE
Working electronics. Still not EXACTLY sure what this will mean, but from what I gather, it will mean a light up counter that does something.
Display stand.
1000 pieces limited edition.

If I hear any more, I'll certainly let ya know

This is fantastic news indeed Matt....Ill definiately be having one of these as soon as its available. :lol

Just need to get me one of those damn elusive tomb keys now!!!:love

can you put me down as very interested please, so long as its released before our great government bans such dangerous things like this in October :wacko

:cheers

Great price! I am interested.

But I have to say....

Funny how the makers of this blaster were thinking of a $500.00 price point.

They ran it up the flagpole. (Flagpole=Matt) ;)

We say around $250.00 is more reasonable.

Matt comes back....$250.00

At the end of the day, it will be the wallets that do the talking, and not the voices of us geeks with keyboards.

Well...the geeks have spoken! :lol

I guess we should of said $100.00, huh? ;)

Glad to see that the makers of this prop want to see the blaster sell well. $500.00 would have limited the amount of buyers.

Again..great price. :)

It's a funny world, I tell ya that!

But still, just to make sure we're all clear on this, I originally asked:

"Do you think $500 is about right for a replica that has a working trigger, working electronics, cast from an original, with some metal parts??? Compare it to other similar offerings, and let me know what you think."

I never said it was going to cost 500. I was just curious who'd be willing to pay it! ha!!

With some clever packaging I'd say 399.00 is your sweet spot provided production numbers aren't over the top. As someone else mentioned, it doesn't have a huge market so the run should be kept rather small. Hit what fan base there is for it and move on.

Looks great! I'd be in for one.
