Firefly on science channel?

I just saw an ad on science channel that they're going to start to show Firefly. Now why is an educational channel showing scifi shows? All these stations seem to be forgetting what they were started for.

Seems pointless to me, especially saying that they're going to "start" showing it. The show ran a whopping thirteen episodes, it's going to be a short run.. lol.

Is it going to run on the science channel, or on one of their affiliates? You see crossover advertising all the time.

I saw the same ad. It DID say it was showing ON the Science Channel. *shrugs*

/not complaining

/happy, in fact

/giddy

Perhaps they'll use it to lead into shows about science related topics in the show such as interstellar travel.

I've seen it too. While it is kinda silly, maybe it means they'll show something other than a million episodes of "How its Made" LOL

I wish they'd picked something I was able to get into lol. I haven't watched a scifi show in years.

Firefly was just on TV a few months ago can't remember the channel though. So maybe whoever owns the rights now Fox?? Has it sold out or leased out to whoever owns Scienece and the other channel.

Hey sure beats the normal Nazis,Hitler, UFOs, Bigfoot shows Science/History/etc have been showing.

Those are all I watch lol. Well not really i tend to watch shows about outer space in general.

Well, there's more science in "Firefly" than there is sci-fi in wrestling, or history in Ice Road Truckers, or military matters in a documentary about the Valentine's Day massacre...

I'm looking forward to this:

"Science Channel will wrap each episode with interstitial segments starring renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku, who will discuss the theoretical science behind the show’s sci-fi concepts".

Wes, give this one a try. Even though it is short lived, I think you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Dr Kaku is like the ultimate scifi nerd other than Hawking. My mom loves his shows and she hates science shows lol. He's like the highschool teacher we all wish we had for science class.

I'm looking forward to this. Have the DVR all set. Sci-fi on the Science channel?! It a lot better then what is being shown on the Syfy lately. Where is the sci-fi in wrestling and cooking shows?
