It's a piece of........something not sure it's art though! LOL There is still a ton
of detailing to go around on it . I will def make the cockpit for it and light
it thats going to be a chore though!

Remember this you would if you were paying attention in class,
I cut this right out of the fuselage when it was put together.
I just sank it in some model clay. So I could pull past it and let
it fit inside.

There's no mistaking it, I do like your build.... but I find myself looking over your vacuum form platens too. Is that platen made from particleboard or MDF and plywood?

This one is real old, for some reason half of the platen is
plywood and on top of that was a particle board. Probably
because I needed to build it up to the thickness of the frame
work that holds the plastic.

I formed the canopy plug in regular styrene, to
get the hood part at the front.





Don't mind the nose piece it's kind of wacked out
it needs some clay so it ends up even.

I went and gutted the bottom out it was really bothering
me, I got away from the kit and not sure why? LOL But
I want the wing to mount under the hull instead of in the
fender well like I had it. I just never had the plate recessed
far enough up in the skirt. It will allow me to work on the cockpit
much easier now as well.



I took the opportunity to lay in some matting while everything
was gutted to really strengthen the seams up.


It's pretty strong now I am holding all the weight by the fender
in this picture.

probably try to follow the kit design and then kit bash
