Re: Slave-1
I am curious, in what ways is it different than the studio model? I guess my eye is not trained enough to notice!
Well don't get me wrong you won't mistake it for a x-wing....LOL
But if you really look at the filming mini you can see the difference,
the fenders really jump out to me they just look like they squat
more on the mini.None of that bothers me though I wanted one
and I built it from start to end, that's where i find the satisfaction.
The other part of the reason it doesn't look like the mini more is
simply because I am lazy......yup lazy and impatient! LOL Like the
nose wrap piece on the front I made the pattern for it. But I couldn't
be bothered to fit it with the gap in there. I think that's stupid so I
didn't bother with it that way plus as I said .....I am lazy!
When your sitting there making every part yourself, your not
not in a rah rah mind set, because it's work and it's a lot
of work! Yea you enjoy it but things change as soon as you
have a problem or have to start over. Those feelings are different
than the ones you started with, because you realize if you want it
you have to concentrate every time you sit down to it. I wouldn't
say the concentration over powers the joy of building it, but it just
puts the joy on hold or in perspective. For me i can't sit down and try
to be conscience of "how much fun his is" and concentrate the way I
need. And at some point you have to realize if you want to build it,
your not going to get it done by just having "fun with it" because at
some point it's just not fun. It's work and you have to be ready to
work to get it done. When you have to remake a part or reform
something or start over.....that's just work that's not fun. You
have to know why you do this stuff in those moments....if you
don't have the answer that's when you quit. The answer for me
is not that it's fun because there are more un-fun moments
for me. The answer for me is because it's a challenge I accept
the challenge that's what runs through my mind.....when I want to
quit.
