Looks fantastic, wonderfull stuff.

OZZY!
How the heck are you? I do offer the wall parts casted in resin. The large "lighted" walls and a few of the smaller hallway walls. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

Hello Kids!
Well, here is an update on the Hanger bay dio. I just can't seem to stop pushing this further. I have now decided that under the falcons hanger there will be a smaller TIE fighter hanger. More specifically, Darth Vader's hanger for his ship and his wing men. Who knew it was right under the falcon. Anyone care to figure the odds on that....

It might look something like this:

TIES are fine molds and the Vader TIE is the new Revell Mini kits. Vader's ship is just a tiny bit too small but I am using it any way. It is a pretty nice little kit for $15.00

Enjoy!

I noticed how inaccurate the Fine Molds Falcons Boarding ramp was so I re worked it.

It is very suprising to find that for such a detailed and accurate model,
the boarding ramp is just way off.

I don't think those Fine Molds people ever bother to watch epi 4, and 5
when they machined these parts.
because the boarding ramp area is pretty consistant from epi 4 to 5,
even though the whole thing was rebuilt, since the original set (even the
new set for ESB) was not saved.

I agree, I really can't figure out how they screwed that up so bad. Like how it interlocks with the hull of the ship.

The thing about the ramp is I don't entirely know if even the 5 foot model had a boarding ramp on it as all the shots of that feature the ship with the ramp down even in the ESB asteroid were of the "full size" (i.e. looks full size enough) set piece. As such, FineMolds concentrated on the feature in that area looking more like the studio model with the ramp up rather then the ramp down on the full size set piece. Considering most of us have built our FMMFs in flight with the ramps up, I would say it was a good compromise.

Nice work BTW!

Yeah, your probably right. You can't please everyone, LOL. It is still a fantastic model kit. Someday I will build another......

If you can find another kit, that is.

It is out of production.
Fine Molds may renew production in the future though.

However, on their web site. it says Lucas Film license agreement was
to release Fine Molds Millenium Falcon only in Japanese Market.
and not for export, ie USA market.

which is little odd, since I do remember seeing FM MF at Target.com

anyway, despite the license agreement, plenty of FM MF made into
US Market.

Well, I did not know that. What a bummer. I am glad I got mine when I did then. I guess I probably wont be building another one.....:cry
