FINALLY! My Superman Returns chest emblem!

I'm extremely excited tonight to have finally finished this piece. And it turned out wonderfully! I emboldened the colors a bit to make it more visually pleasing to the naked eye (ie, NOT the color corrected movie screen) but I think it's an improvement.

For those who have followed along on the blog and offered up advice and support of the LONG journey this has been, I greatly appreciate it. I struggled long and hard to familiarize myself with different brands and types of urethanes, pigments, and how to get the results I wanted.

Hey Matt! That looks great, except you have the pattern shifted over to the left by about i/4 of an emblem.
It's really too bad as it is so close, but that jarring mistake really jumps out at you.
I'm sure this was a metric ton of work though and my hat's off to you!
Just kidding about the pattern being off.
Really amazing!

Yes, the blog has been coming along nicely. I'm having a lot of fun writing it, and keeping a record of my progress on the suit. It's really been coming together a lot lately in the past couple of months, with only the boots being the real missing component. I think I am still on target to receive my boots from Southern Wings by the end of the year.

Then the only thing left to do will be to get my sorry self into the gym and get back into shape for the big reveal. Maybe Dragon Con this year??

Once again an absolutly wonderfull item you did there and as all the others already said I could not wait to see the full suit. BTW Mr Munson I would have one more question to you would SW produce the Returns boots in the future that I maybe also could order a pair from them?
