Final Fantasy XII Penelo's Staff

Penelo is one of the playable characters in the video game Final Fantasy XII. I was commissioned to create her magical staff.

Here's what I was shooting for:

The staff is designed to breakdown like a billiards cue stick, the blade section and the base screwing off for easy transport.

The blade is layered MDF and the staff is oak. The final staff is over 6' as it was scaled to the height of the person buying it.

Very nice! FFXII is one of the few FF games I still haven't played yet. I need to go pick up a copy! :eek

and technically, isn't it based off of the Penelo character's weapon from the FFXII sequel/prequel (I can't remember) for the Nintendo DS, and not the more widely known FFXII for the PS2? :lol

Must say, the staff looks EXCELLENT. I agree, Square should put stuff like this out.
