Final Fantasy Spirits Within watch.

The bad news is the pictures of the watches in the 'making of' book are all but useless. The good news is that the original poster's photograph is sufficient to generate a 3D model because screenshots confirm that, save for the repeating grooves, the underside of the watch is featureless.

It had been a while since I'd seen the book but it figures that they didn't give you the detailed sketches.

Found a picture of the inside of the physical prop. It looks like it was machined in two parts with a shallow groove around the inner edges to seat the plastic strip and four more grooves (hidden in that view) milled so the plastic can have tabs extend to where the screws are. Should be deceptively easy to fabricate, even on a manual setup.

I've looked into the movie then, when my interest sparked again and as you posted, the underside is featureless...

Sadly any replicas would be non-working because it would probably cost a fortune to get the electronics for this thing made. If someone who doesn't suck at 3d work (like me and i went to college for it) feels like doing a mock up feel free then just for fun we can see what a machinist thinks of it.

So, I have one of these Seiko watches but I wanted to make the Wrist Holo.

How does it look?
Modeled in Solidworks based on the reference pictures available online.
