First of, GORGEOUS BUILD! That is truly something to be proud of!

as for the base, I think the rocks will look better, they convey a better story compared to the rebuild chamber.

You see the rocks, you say, "oh, this must represent where they found it, or they scooped up some soil with the hand"

The chamber, unless you see the entire chamber, you (the viewer actually) might not understand what they're looking at.

Thanks DB! So thats one for the rocks. I found fabric to match the padded surface in the chamber so I may try both.

That looks awesome. I kinda like both ideas, but it would be cool to see the chamber in my opinion.

Zorg, how did you paint so many of these and not lose your mind?? Kudos to you for an amazing kit and for painting so many of these in such an exceptional way.

Seems that the overwhelming vote is for a rocks base. Im off to Home Depot to look at rocks!

trust me it was very HARD not to lose my mind.

it was probably the toughest run i have done, a lot of work!

it was also the last run of these.........

when i was going to make a base for mine (rocks) i got some red bricks and smashed them up in a bag to give me little chunks, you can keep smashing until you get the size you need. it looks like there is some sand mixed in with the rocks.

Awesome idea on the bricks!

Ok, got gold fabric, a base made for the chamber AND a base for the rocks. Gonna do both and let the forum decide.
