Scapey Sr Member RPF PREMIUM MEMBER Jul 13, 2009 #10 Very nice - Does the lower jaw/inner mouth swap out or something?
RickDTM Sr Member Jul 13, 2009 #11 D48 - I used Krylon Triple Glaze in a rattle can for the gloss. Be careful w/ it though...it likes to run. Rev - The lower jaw opens and closes, and the tongue is capable of sliding in and out.

vaderdarth Master Member Jul 13, 2009 #14 That looks more like Giger's original Alien art work than his own 3D sculptures did!!! Very nice. That is by far one of the coolest I've seen. What is the size of that sculpt? it looks life sized to me. Dave

Ghadrack Sr Member Jul 14, 2009 #15 The carapace just looks incredible, under the sheen it looks organic, not like a painted effect to me. From the pictures this looks like one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen here or anywhere. Awesome work, thanks for sharing. thumbsup

RickDTM Sr Member Jul 15, 2009 #17 Thanx again fellas! Rev - The engineerin to allow the jaw to move and the tongue to slide was damn cool. Vaderdarth - It's about 20" tall and the head measures about 18" long. Not life-sized...more like 1/4 scale?

RickDTM Sr Member Jul 17, 2009 #19 Phase - None other than Msr. Takeya. The Alien Pile is indeed a sweet kit / statue.
