I've stayed quiet too long !

I have to say you work on this project is amazing !

The mask is off the charts ! I love the finish ! (I so need to learn some skills).

And without question the work on the outfit is amazing ! Coming together perfectly !

Anxious to see more for sure !

thank you very much jimmy and thank you for following my thread , it is getting closer to my cut off date and i am getting nervous but i am going to try to create as many things as i can before my fingernails fall off ... like the fly

LOL thank you dude and trust me , not looking so great today and i am pretty sure my ear is going to fall off any minute .... if i knew i was going to come down with a horrible cold i would have waited a bit to do my in bed sculpting extravaganza

Costume looks really good so far and even though I don't play Skyrim, I'm diggin' the mask. Nice work!

Just watched the videos, really impressed that you sculpted all that by hand, without tools and just referencing the computer screen! Not sure if I already said that I love the colours on the Konahric mask (especially in the warmer lighting), it really has a hand-hammered, forged from metal, look to it. Also, you've managed to get the eyes of both masks to look remarkably expressive.

thank you so much lupus i did not realize how difficult something that looked so simple and uniform can actually be ... the beveling and everything is actually quite the challenge ...especially using hands lol thanks for watching my videos!

I waited to comment because I haven't played Skyrim yet. I figured your thread would eventually go way off topic. :lol +1 for gamergirls. I tried to get my girlfriend to play something more substantial than Angry Birds to no avail...
The mask looks cool, but I'll have to get the game after Mass Effect 3 to see what it is!

So back on topic, have you tried using Aves Apoxie Sculpt before? You don't need to bake it and it will stick to pretty much anything.

The only downside to that stuff is it cures.

I don't recall how long, but I can imagine draggin ass (hah! dragon ass!) on a project long enough to end up with a mask half sculpted and trashcan bound :lol

@sluis if that product is anything similar to the quick steel apoxy or super sculpey , it will most likely kill my hands like the other two , its the kneading process that destroys me , the setting it in place part is fine , but i can only grab a large marble sized piece , takes forever for me to knead it into putty while ripping up my thumbs :< otherwise the stuff is fantastic!

Error, check out the link above, it's for air epoxy putty, super lite and super strong. I think it would be perfect for your hands and will be much less heavy for wearing purposes.
Get better soon, eat alot of very spicey stuff too it will help you kick your cold quickly.

I found for smaller parts to use Green Stuff Kneadatite its a 2 part after you knead and can shape its amazing there is also a liquid form to brush on to do fills.. just throw that out there.

OK it has been a minute , and yeah i played quite a bit of skyrim this weekend .. buh ... could have been working on this AND NOW ONLY ONE MONTH LEFT??!! hope i can pull it off it is getting close

krosis is cured

and i had added some dragon-ish flesh to my top just to make it look better ( the elastic black material was bugging me , this looks a world better

..and yes that scar is real too , at least the whole nord thing is a pretty authentic look for me ..
