As it says on the tin, this is a female Judge build. I fell in love with the movie and decided I just HAD to have a costume!
Now, just to clarify, this is a 'close enough' build. Meaning, 99.5% of people will not be able to spot the differences between my suit and the movie suit. You purists, of course, will be able to spot them right off, lol, but I hope it doesn't detract.
I've ordered a bunch of parts from various makers, but I'm still waiting for them all to arrive. The parts I've ordered are: Helmet (bluerealm) Buckle and shoulders (BlackKaos) Badge (MrPinski) and belt pouches (DavesLeather on Etsy)
Because I'm doing a female costume I needed to make my own pads, which I did out of EVA foam. I accentuated the 'greenness' of the elbows and knees-- there are certain shots in the movie where they look green and others where they look straight black, but I liked the greener look.
For my leathers I've got an old leather jacket-- I've sewn on some holders for the elbow pads that approximate the look of the movie jacket. And since I'd rather not spend $100 on a pair of leather pants, I approximated the look by sewing leather panels onto an old pair of black cargo pants. (I know the knees need to come up, these shots are of the first time I put the rig on)
Boots are just old ones I found at Goodwill, and applied an EVA front plate to. Hopefully you all can appreciate me attempting to save a LITTLE money on the build (I'll still have $1000 into it before I'm done, I'm sure) as I'm not sure about the continued relevancy of this costume.
