Female Dawn Costume..No Lightsabers Here...LOL

This one was a bit of an engineering nightmare but it's all coming along nicely....and sexy

The design of this particular Dawn suit has a big upside down heart opening exposing the stomach. So this entire corset will be a full body appliance adhering to the wearers skin.. Pretty neat eh? This way the open area wont buckle or pop off of her skin...and basically move with her every movement....Just like a second skin.
Then there's the headpiece, and really cool transparent glow in the dark weapon. All will be revealed soon.

And the weapon...we forgot to take finished pics of the sculpt before we started molding it...sorry...This will be transparent and glow in the dark.. It's meant to look like a weapon made from pure light....easy as pie right? ...go figure...

Almost done....should be fun to see this one on Liana.

Sure...and yea, should have thought of that earlier. I just googled Dawn and yea, quite the X Rated image group showing up...LOL.

And here's a look at the body...not a great shot but you get the idea.

What I havent posted are the scales for the front and back area of the groin area...working on those too.

Hey everyone.

So this past weekend was the Toronto Comic Con...and yes, the Dawn costume was ready. Liana is really a joy to work with. It's no secret that she has quite a fan following already, but once in this suit...well, let's just say it was impossible for her to go unnoticed.

A little background on the costume....
Dave made the rubber corset and it's got several wash colors that all reflect light differently. The crotch and butt areas are covered in scaled armored plates that separate from the corset for ease of getting into and out of the costume. The piece itself is really quite unique as it's pretty much one big body prosthetic that clings and moves with her every movement. It's rather revealing, very sexy...and very form fitting. Liana by nature is a rather captivating woman and has a very confident yet 'strong' presence. Now add the fact that she's extremely approachable, and wearing a sexy revealing rubber suit with transparent fabric elements to it and you have all the ingredients to one very interesting ensemble.
Also note that the weapon she's holding is semi translucent rubber which glows in the dark. A very neat trick and a beautiful addition to the entire costume. The headpiece is cast from a firm self skinning urethane foam which was surface painted and glossed. Also a very cool addition to the costume.
None of the fabric parts were of our doing...but we did have to chemically bond them to the rubber corset....and that was not easy.

Yes, yes...Dave's a sucker for attention too. The finishing touches to the Dawn costume were done in front of our booth....Very difficult job for him I'm sure...

A little blurry...but a very pretty trio non the less..

....and a little plug for our booth. I guess Dave's ways are really starting to rub off on me now...scary huh?

Interesting pic that one. Dave made the Predator costume in that pic years ago (but had nothing to do with those dreads) and the girl in the photo is a friend. Holly is her name I believe. Pretty cool coincidence.

He's not wearing it right though...the cod is meant to be tucked into the pants...LOL...and no, those arn't my dreads....yuk...
