Favorite NES game?

I actually started off on the Intellivision, but I do remember the very first time I ever played a NES. My cousin got one in 1986 for Christmas at our house with a collection of games and it was one of the best experiences of my life... sadly. But going from Intellivision to NES was a pretty big step. I still love the first games I played, Super Mario Bros. (of course), Pro Wrestling, Rygar, and Jaws.
There NES had a big library of crap games, but also a lot of hits I can still go back and play. The list is too long for me to name them all but I will mention:

Mega Man series
Ninja Gaiden series
Maniac Mansion - NES version was actually better than the PC version.
Dirty Harry
Punisher
Mario Brother series
Tecmo Pro Wrestling - still better than most western wrestling games.
Contra
Ice Hockey
Silent Service
North & South
Rescue: The Embassy Mission
31 in 1
52 in 1

really I could just keep on listing games. I still play NES/SNES and Intellivision games regularly.

dude wakes you up from your nap to go save his daughter. Like really? If you're so damn cool that you can bring me back from the grave. Why can't you do it yourself?

Wow so many great memories and games to list almost do not know where to begin.

Mega Man 2 and 3(loved 3 more than 2)
Punisher
Dick Tracy- I loved the whole thing
Dragon Warrior 1-6
Alien 3(although it came out after SNES, it was released on NES at the same time)
Blaster Master
Punch- out
Legend of Zelda
Metroid
Duuck Hunt

I could go on for hours, but my lunch break between classes is over

One of my childhood best friends and I finally managed to beat Contra (using the code, of course, and many hours)
Finally managed to beat RoboWarrior (again, after many, many hours)
loved/played:
original Mega Man
SMB 1 and 3 (never got 2 until many years later)
Bomberman
Dr Mario
Milon's Secret Castle
Bionic Commando, of course
Donkey Kong Classics
Palamedes - my dad and I loved competing at this
R.C. Pro Am
Gauntlet - again, with the parental unit
Adventures of Lolo 1, 2 & 3
River City Ransom - about the only fighting game I could ever control the character well in. any others, I'm just pushing random buttons and jiggling the joystick hoping to win.
Life Force
'Trog' was neat

Basically, our family was all about the puzzle and strategy type of games.
We never cared for the sports, shoot-em-ups or fighting games.

I'm sorry, I have to go now; My princess is in another castle.
