I made a replica of the comm from Farscape. Made from laser cut brass, brass wire mesh, transparent red acrylic and two button cap hex bolts epoxy glued together.
The Pulse Pistol was a poor quality recast from e-bay that took a lot of filling and sanding to get to an acceptable standard to paint. The one redeeming quality, it seemed to be from some kind of screen used/made for the screen lineage, compared to a lot of the inaccurately modelled 3D prints that have generally flooded the prop hobby.
