Definitely isn't those as they are DC power sockets. The ones on the Farnsworth are audio sockets. One of the following 3.5mm miniphone panel sockets would look OK if the knurled nut was positioned correctly.
I think the inline type looks more correct as it gives the flat appearance shown in the photos. Though they are generally used for audio connectors they make perfectly good power connectors too. Insulated versions are available too.
Thanks! Combination of things -- Ammonia fumes, vinegar, sea salt, and detail enhancer combined with artificial dust and grime around the edges of the screen, the bulb, the numbered recess, that sort of thing.
Has anyone given any thought as to what the rectangle between the two lens's might be for? It would seem that it was to serve some purpose, I just can not think what.
I think that the rectangular slot in the centre might be for the speaker and the vertical slots in a circular pattern to the left are for the microphone. Admittedly it would be an odd shaped speaker. Or does the whole box act as the speaker box with the sound coming out of the slot? It looks like speaker cloth behind the slot.
Does it have hands free sound and not have simultaneous two-way sound and switches back and forth using the speaker as a mic?
Is the pushbutton also used as a push-to-talk? I have never noticed that but admit I've not looked closely when they're chatting.
I have received the first of my Wheatley boxes. It will need to be sanded and painted completely as it's a silver one. It is a lot more flimsy than I thought it would be. I have another coming which is darker. My "lenses/screens" are on the way I believe (thanks to JH). The cabochons and the left knobs and pushbuttons coming too.
Not bought the red indicator dome or middle knob yet as I'm still looking for a local supplier. Postage from the USofA for simple cheap items like these is ridiculous. $2 for a part and $20 for shipping is just nuts.
I've also got a couple of feelers out as far as the faceplate goes with local companies who do laser cutting. If all else fails I will have to try to make them myself by hand (painful). I'm actually having trouble just sourcing 1.5mm to 2mm thick brass plate. Is this the size that was used?
Any other Aussie locals I wonder looking for any of these parts including faceplates?
Given the Wheatley box is aluminium (at least mine is) you could use a magnetic reed switch to activate it while closed. Use a NC switch instead of a NO one to cancel it.
Good news guys! In case you havent heard, Warehouse 13 is currently shooting season 2 and recently finished the first episode! i cant wait until the summer!

Probably around the time Season 2 airs. Many shows use the previous season DVD to garner interest for the next season. Look for it around May or June (Season 2 starts on July 13).
OK Guy here is mine along with a few friends we were working on today. Mine is on the left. It has working knobs. The left one turns one the red light. The center and push button do nothing. I found a couple of the push button. They are not monentary contact switches. I used the yadda yadda. for the sound. If it loses poser you will have tocord the sound again. I can activate the sound without opening the box. The middle one is static right now. The right one is just getting started hope you like.

I have measured the screen and surround against the clear lenses supplied by JH and it might just fit especially with its casing removed. It would have to be rotated and any photos rotated as well. Images are stored on an SD card. It has a rechargeable battery and line out but not sure if music can be played at the same time as photo slideshow. I expect not but as soon as I get home from the hospital I will find out.
I'm sure this is the wrong place to ask but is there chance someone in the USofA might be able to get the correct two knobs and the red dome and mail to me in Australia? I'm looking to get two or three of each.
I have looked at a lot of websites and found them quite cheaply but the shipping charges are simply ridiculous. $20-$50 for one or two small items is just nuts. Local shipping in the US is often very cheap.
I don't know how many Aussies are on the RPF but I think possibly some of them have never seen the show anyway as just started here on the cable SciFi channel. Tomorrow night (17th March) it airs "Resonance".
