never seen this show but this thread is fascinating.

Could you rig something like the TOS Communicator toy? You push the center button, close the lid, and a couple seconds later the 'hailing' beep plays until you flip it open.

You could use a 555 timer and even use the middle knob to control the amount delay

BTW I am still trying to find a screen. So far the clock kit seems to be the only alternative, but I hate spend so much on cheap clock.:unsure

I'm lucky enough to be close to a store called "American Science and Surplus" where they had a nice telescope lens that worked perfectly and it was only $3!

I *think* it's the one listed on this page under Double Convexity:

I'm wondering where my plate is, the USPS tracking site said it was out on delivery Saturday and it still hasn't shown up, my mail was just delivered a minute ago and still no joy.:angry

It showed up last night.
Found it in the box this afternoon when I got home.

My neighbor said he saw the truck return last night after 4pm.
I must have been the kitchen when it happened.

The fill in drivers can't seem to get their act together.

Any interest in a small run of clear 3" lenses? There would be a lip on the backside (like the tap light) so you just drop it in place. I need 15 people to make it happen. Would cost
around $8 shipped in the US.

Nice, what is that lense again?

I went to this art store where they sold cheap trinkets in the back (plastic alarm clocks, desk lamps, etc)....One of the alarm clocks was 4 bucks so i picked it up...THe lens was a pretty good match, so I used it.

Re: Warehouse 13 Prop Research - The Farnsworth

Did anyone find a reliable source for the button.
The places I looked at are out of stock or you have to contact them for a price quote.

Are you guys mounting the left and middle knob to actual dials, or attaching them another way? I just realized all I have are knobs and no 'posts'... :rolleyes so I thought I'd ask... (Sorry if it's mentioned in the thread somewhere, it's gotten kind of large...)
