Fallout 4 10 day build for midnight release

So after building grunt armour for an employee of game here in the UK the guys were ecstatic about having power armour down for the midnight launch and for some reason I agreed, so Far I've spent 4 days on the following. I am currently building to fit then will backtrack to add detail with exception of the chest, fortunately I have a small 2 man army consisting of me and my silly girlfriend offering to sand... So at least it will get Bondo coat where needed! Anyway my first 2 1/2 days of work! (After my normal day job that is)

Materials to build this..


Eva floor foam from halfords (£10 per pack of 6) I've used 8 tiles so far, a lot of scraps to use later though, I think 16 is a good number for the whole thing

Worbla 75cm x 100cm, this cost me £36
next day delivery from a Google store!
Realistically I could have done with twice the quantity but this is my first time using it!

Heat gun £21 from BnQ

Large glue gun £12 from BnQ

Soldering iron £12 from halfords

Many many many glue sticks


Tonnes of injury plasters..

A Stanley knife with about 30 extra blades.. I change blade after cutting 4 pieces (by change I mean rotate to its other blade. Then once both used replace entirely, this is to keep a clean cut without snag lines

This is awesome! Im always impressed with how much can be done in such little time! It would take me forever to build something like that!

Unfortunately I don't have a pipboy coming mine was cancelled due to lack of ability to complete the order, and now the costume materials have cost 250£+ so can't actually afford the game either but hey... I'll be there on midnight release with a cool costume
