REALLY COOL. Why does noone else on this sight utilize wood? Its so much easier than molding plastic or using fiberglass.

Gotcha. This is a pretty amazing build here; I was always too afraid to tackle the plasma rifle. And wood is always a nice medium to work in.

BTW have you seen the flickr account paying tribute to the late-great concept artist Adam Adamowicz that inspired a lot of the Fallout aesthetic?

This is excellent! I came across this thread by total accident after trawling the net looking for builds for this gun.

Quite independently I had arrived at the stage in your 1st post having mocked up the barrel in ABS plastic. I'm making this gun for a comicon event in the UK next year and so far so good. I don't expect quite the level of detail you have achieved as my woodworking skills don't stretch as far!

Top-notch created prop... in fact, this plasma rifle is the best Fallout prop I have seen!

I hope Fallout 4 would keep all those plasma based weapons. I was disappointed with New Vegas because of the lack of Enclave weapons. Bring back Tesla power armour please!!!
