Nothing wrong with that decision. I think this may sell out for those that have a void in their collection or the interest in a newer and stylized version.
I must say that I'm curious about the light and sound feature...the sound on the Coyle was never that great to be honest.

Well you’re comparing 25-30 year old tech to now. Mine was pretty clear and bright back in the day however with modern electronics I’d imagine this is the realized prop you would want in your collection even though the RAC version were as close to original in at least form factor you could hope the own. As folks have stated even the surviving originals would be a little or a lot rough.

For the experts out there, I was just getting ready to the pull the trigger on the one pictured bellow but now I am rethinking the purchase. Does anyone have any ideas about the origins of the one I was looking to buy? The seller says that he bought it a long time ago and doesn't remember who made it. It looks like a possible recast but I am no position to make that call. I am starting to think I should just get the Factory Entertainment one.

Looks like a RAC or a Universal Armorer Pistol

Be advised the sound volume is severe weak sauce. I got Hallmark ornaments louder than this. At this price point pump up the electronics for crying out loud. Apollo service module antenna greeblie there on the top. Did not know that. It's still pretty light if there is a metal barrel it's not that heavy. Nice but with "buts".

I've always thought this prop looked better from a distance. All that detailing looks like a miniature ship builder made it - not a simple and functional-looking weapon. But at least it has a trigger guard, which is my biggest nit with many sci-fi props.

It also has a front and rear (sorta) sight, not a great one ( but neither did Lugers) LOL, another nit that sci fi props miss constantly.

Now for the rest of the photos …. As my friend CessnaDriver provided the blaster photos pretty well already…
Three triple A’s battery are loaded into the grip. The grip cover is held in with magnets. The edition size on the LE is 1000 and the signature Felt tip edition plates that FE is known for remains. It is not heavy and it is a very clean and stylized version indeed. I agree the sound is there but it is not loud. Art box and COA instructions are nice. The art box is sealed with Galactica shoulder patches labels.
