In normal reality TV where you see more of the personalities I would say it's all producers for the drama of it all. For this show, there is very little drama, so in that case I don't think they would make much difference who is deciding.

I'd love it if next season they managed to pull Rob Bottin out of retirement and have the contestants do a makeup job or even a prop job on their version of a character from the thing. I mean yeah the show is mainly makeups, but that's not the only thing that FX artists do in the industryX

you are very correct ..we do much more then only makeups ...BUT when your show is sponsored by "makeup forever" ...guess what? Trust me ..having not only friends that where on the show ..but also employing contestants from season 1 ..we have often talked about them doing an actual physical effect. It would be nice for the show to get back to its initial roots and really show what FX shops do..unfortunately that probably wont happen ..like they will never show you the lab tech that run the foam and silicone prosthetics. ( ever notice that you never see a foam room) or the fabricators that actually make the costumes ..or the concept artists that draw out the designs ( ever notice that all the concept art seems to look the same regardless of the contestant drawing it?) ...but of course this is a reality show ..listen ..im all for it ..I really liked season one and saw it's potential as something that pushes our craft and gets it out to the public ..and in a sense it still does ..unfortunately i think it isnt really showing them anything anymore ..opting to go the "entertainment" route only. Its kind of sad ..i really think they couldve done both effectively

It's funny you say that because my wife mentioned that to me as well. I forgot about it, but in season 1, there were a few times where they met with a costume designer and they were told what look they were going for.

Roy acting like a little baby through most of it probably wont help his career.
Why they are putting part 2 on at 10:00pm instead of 9:00pm is a mystery
as well. No one gives a #$%^ about Ghosthunters let alone a marathon of them.
Smarten up SYFY and get to some better programing. All these stupid and fake
ghost shows are just terrible waist of programming. I'd rather watch your craaapppy
made for TV movies than that stuff.

dont call ...Laura wins. See how they set the drama up ...first with her actual presentation ..making sure to make it seem as if the judges arent favoring her work ..the clue was at the end of the show ..when they all say it ..Laura is the best makeup applicator ..show is sponsored by makeup forever ....winner becomes a guest lecturer for them. Also ...notice how they said that America gets to vote ..but they dont necessarily say that America chooses the winner. So ..ya ..you can vote for your favorite ...but the winner has already been picked

hahaha ...no Im not Joe .or one of the Joe conspiracy theorists ..never met the guy. Although I have good friends from every season. No ..and actually i cant prove it. There are some in our peer group that say they know for sure ..most of us just fallow the the format of the show ..its actually fairly predictable these days. the set ups and clues are given and like clockwork... winners and losers became very predictable. It indeed has become a "TV Show" ..interesting thing I noticed about Joe ..he was never in the whole intro until last week ...i wonder if his law suit has any bearing on that?

Well I voted for Laura on the Facebook method. I wouldn't vote for magenta girl because she did so poorly she got kicked off. The other guy was good but his stuff has never really wowed me. Roy should have been in the last three, it's pretty clear he was railroaded off because he was too good.

Just guessing, but it is probably because it is the biggest thing they have programmed for that night so they put it in the lineup as the "main event".
Also, the fact that it is live and it is on the West Coast could be factors as well.
Nicole shouldn't be there as she already lost. Nothing she has done so far matters. Her previous work was not good enough. This show is just more social promotion. They were going to make sure a girl won so they stacked the deck. They put Roy against her in the 2nd to last show because Roy was not happy from the get go with bringing loosers back and that was a dig at him. He should be mad because without her coming back he would have been one of the last 3. He has a right to be pissed. If she wins , it means the person who won never even competed in all the evens. BS fake predetermind crap and i will not watch anymore. Too bad as it was the only show i liked and i am pulling for Laura to win but this just taints the results.

I think that Nicole will win, because the other two are married. She is single and will be able to travel to New York and Paris without leaving a spouse behind. I hope that Laura wins but I think this was decided long ago.
