Face Off Season 3

Yup, smells like crap. The only Faceoff winner to not compete in every competition. Talk about a fixed game. I also believe gthat is why they say it is "picked by the viewers" Gave them a way out of taking responsibility for her winning.
 
I can't say she had the strongest body of work over the course of the whole show, but I did think her creation in the final had the most cohesive look to it.
 
I thought Nicole did a really good job after her comeback but she did not deserve to win. It should have been Derek or Laura.

My honest opinion is she won because she's hot.
 
Well, just my observations, but I do believe that Nicole was slated to win too. The two things that confirmed it for me was last night, as the judges were reviewing the finalists bodies of work for the show, they basically made the case that Laura was stong in application, Derek was strong in concepts, but Nicole had come back strong & fighting. Seemed to me like a blatant reminder to the fans that a good story should trump weeks of talented entries.

The second thing was tonight, on the SYFY SYNC app-thingie, immediatley after they showed the clip for Nicole's story & discussed her fibro myalga, they put up a "Who Do You Think Should Win" poll. I'm aware that it didn't matter as far as the supposed voting, but it seemed timed to play on the audiences sympathy & prepare folks for the outcome. Nicole won the poll by the way. They even went as far as having a poll for Roy last night that asked "Do you think Roy's attitude toward Nicole will hurt his career in the industry.

I'll probably watch the next season, but not really rooting for anyone anymore.
 
ha ..well i guess a bunch of us were wrong ..but i did hear early that it would be a girl this year ..i cant say that it was for sure rigged, however there does seem to be a rather "reality show" formula to these new seasons ..opting to use such gimmicks as bringing a past contestant back that we have seen in many of the other "not so real" shows.
 
Okay just went back and watched the "Grimm" episode where Roy was eliminated.

Roy's snake had very real problems.
But that Werewolf was really sub-par, I'm surprised by the comments from the show producer especially considering they have already done werewolves on the show and they were done much better.
I liked Laura's sculpt but I personally felt the paint job destroyed it.

ha ..well it is entertainment. with next season already in the can, i cant say there is much hope for a format change ..but then there will be the All-Star season ..so America will get to vote on which ex-cast member will win
 
I'm behind because I watch it on-demand the day after, but I was thinking how much better those makeups looked when the people were standing still than when they were running around like fools.
 
That final episode was just a terrible. They didn't even show the final make-ups in that finale, it was all a bunch of retrospecitve garbage. I was totally disappointed with the way they chose to conclude that season. If they were going to do a two part finale they could have saved some of the display / judging of the final creations for the last hour so there was something interesting to watch.

I really like the show overall, but I thought the ending there was a real stinker.
 
I hear ya, and agree. It was a let down. Still feel that Roy should have been in the final. Oh, well. Hoping for better results next season.

Totally agree. I didn't watch until this morning and once I realized how the format was going, I fast forwarded right to the announcement.
 
The ending was like watching a Survivor finale.

Same exact format.

Laura should have won this too. She was never in the bottom,
everything was always well thought through, yet Nicole got it?

I wish the previews for next season didn't flash every new make up
they were doing. I feel like they showed us them all already.

Next seasons cast looks even weirder than this one. Looks like
they have some real winners in the next batch. LOL.:rolleyes
 
Let's hope they filter out the nutty Joes for next season. Anyone looking at him could tell he was unstable just the way he'd look at people.

Of course, that's why they may have picked him.
