FABRICATING a real IRONMAN suit out of STEEL.

Chrome plating is very expensive the last time I looked into it. You should look into powder coating like you said earlier. You can get some decent chrome-look powders now, and I'm sure they have a gold you'll be happy with.

Updates? C'Mon man, I need my Picture-Update fix...

I'm an IronMan Junky :p

Haha in due time, I'm just now gettin back into the groove of things between work and a ton of other crap I've been dealing with. I'll keep ya posted!

For sure! I've got a pretty good hook up with a powder coater so If I decide not to paint it, I might end up going with the powder coating

As you can see this isn't the helmet that I've been working on, but it is something that I've wanted to build ever since the first iron man movie came out.

I did post a couple pictures of my wireless vibranium core a couple months ago, which after making that I became very interested in applying some turn of the century technology that the great Nikola Tesla invented/ discovered. I spent hours and hours building and recreating some of his inventions to better learn about induction and high frequency/high voltage electricity.

I successfully built a model of the mark 1 arc reactor that indeed self sustained itself for a period of 37 days before the LEDs burnt out due to a voltage spike.
I will eventually build another one with a new design that I came up with, in hopes of fine tuning this particular idea but I would like to keep some of the more in depth details to myself as to how exactly I did it.

If anyone has any questions about this project, feel free to ask. Also if anyone has any doubts or negative thoughts about my work, please do your research on Nikola Tesla and and the physics behind the generation of electricity through induction with the use of polyphase alternating currents. Thank you

All in favor of a tutorial say aye.

Your arc reactor is......... let me just say I need one.

I just started the pep buisness and let me just say, this build is amazing! Not only the prospect of the satisfying clang but also the look of the real deal

Looking forward to seeing more progress, totally subscribed.

Thanks man, ill have more to show in the very near future once things start slowing down for me as fall gets here. Stay tuned!

really interested to see how you are going to do the joints in the arms, knees and torso. I hope you are coming up with an idea that doesn't involve a spandex suit underneath. I was thinking if you could do some form of banded armor for those joints which would enclose them that would be great.

Great job by the way.

With respect to all the folks here. Some people jump into a build and they need to take time away, weather it's for a busy schedule-family or just to recharge the creative batteries. Some jump in and attack. Some folks have a way about there personality that maybe confused with arrogance and they may not even be aware of it. I myself am no stranger to this myself. I chime in from thread to thread attempting to contribute and learn. I would love for one day to complete a build. My problem is i am my worst critic. The point is that there is soo much talent in this place from all over the world, all different personallities. I personally don't know anyone here. But i do find it sad that this guy has been under fire since he has started and to log jam the thread for a negative critism is just a waste. If you don't like the guy then just avoid the thread. I don't quite know hat you guys think of me, but i have to think that if you guys did then how many of you would sit and have a beer and just chat. Wheew that was quite a rant...GM
