Sometimes with all these different versions I can’t really tell how gray is the gray in the jacket it feels like it has a slight tint of blue

It starts as a vivid indigo denim that is stonewashed until, to the eye, it’s a bluish dark grey. Camturner26 ’s correct vest and MitasTouch ‘s 1983 jacket are practically new and show the original off-the-rack color. It was probably put through the washing machine many times for the film.

I am hoping to eventually get nicer photos of jonnytrooper ’s jacket at the Hollywood Museum (or if he decides to be generous and post nicer photos himself, but that’s not gonna happen) someday to see its condition. His photo of it surrounded by his other Marty attire showed it to be in okay shape, but another photo of unknown origin makes it look VERY washed out.

The 2015 Headgoonie’s body color is very light and almost green, so a lot of pre 2020 merch is like that.

I’ve been trying to locate two different messages in threads for a while now. I remember seeing both of these.
Someone in one of the jacket threads said that they supposedly went to a thrift store in the 80s, found one of the hero jackets, said they named all of the faces on the lining. They tried it on and it fit. They asked their mom if they could buy it, and she said no. Never saw it again. Later bought either a Maxcady or a HG to make themselves feel better. Something like that.
I vividly remember someone seeing that photo of MJF on top of the DeLorean with his hands in the jacket pockets, then buying a vest (it was correct colors) and taking a picture of it in the mirror with their left (in the photo it was right) hand in the side-entrance of the pocket.
I have searched with a bunch of different keywords and can’t find either.
