EVA: best thickness for helmets?

I've noticed through my endless googling that sometimes people make helmets that end up way too large and look a little comical. I'm planning my first build which will be a Titan from Destiny, and I would like to avoid bobble head. What thickness of EVA do most of you use for helmets? I realize the oversized thing might also be an actual miscalculation or someone, but I'd like to cover all my bases here to avoid it.
thanks!

Oh and also, I have .5" thick sheets at home, I plan on mostly using these for guns, but it could also play a part in chest pieces and shoulder pads etc, but again, for these kind of things what is the general consensus on best thickness?

I've only used 1/2 inch foam for my helmets. Sometimes the scale can be messed up with the rest of the armor, but the helmet is pretty solid once sealed and painted. If I were you, I'd build the same helmet the same scale size with 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch foam and see which one you like better! I usually use thin foam, 2mm craft foam for detailing
