Yep, mine was too light and needed more red in the mix. Personally I'm gonna try to shoot for a color that's halfway between mine and yours. I think lighting plays alot in how we perceive it.
I took this to a local IPMS show on Saturday, along with the Y-Wing... they didnt win a thing, but I took home two gold medals and a best sci-fi plaque/trophy-thing for some of my Maschinen Krieger models... studio scale never gets any love, LOL!
I have been thinking about making a 1/6 scale crashed Escape Pod for a
diorama, and this sure gives me the inspiration. Now if I only could get some 'skill' somewhere :lol
I was surprised that the Studio Scale entries received no attention
Far be it for me to contradict the decisions of the illustrious judges.
I would, however, like to take this opportunity to announce the formation of a charity fund; the goal of which is to buy those blokes some badly needed prescription eye wear.

Congratz! on the much deserved awards there is a lot of talent in the Baltimore-Washington area.
GG - I'd have to agree w/ you. I got a chance to see this piece in person on Sunday after the show, and I think we ought to divert those funds towards canes and new glasses!!
The pieces that did win are incredible though, so I guess they aren't totally blind....
