Who here has the capability to make this nut for the ESB DL-44 scope mount bracket?

Lonepigeon says it's close, but needs some mods. Once those mods are covered, who can make the nut??

IIRC Chris T. mentioned that he blueprinted this part.

So it should be easy to have it machined by russrep, rylo...
It would need Chris´drawing and permission, of course.

Saweeet! Chris has been the grandfather of the most accurate parts of this gun all along, so it's fitting to have this final part done by him! Count me in if things keep moving forward bro!

I didn't blueprint this part, but I do have good reference for the original and could blueprint it.
If someone has the MR and can check the overall diameter that would be useful.

There are two problems with doing this part.
1. The knurling on the angled surface. I don't know if Russ, Rylo or whoever would have the necessary tooling to do that.

2. The center hole. Since this would be to replace an existing nut on everyone's blasters it would need to have the same threading. Either that or replace the bolt on the blasters as well, which could be difficult to do - mine is threaded into the Mauser body itself.
I think Corellian Exports, BlastTech and Bobadebt have all done these ESB mounting brackets. What is the threading for each?
If they are all the same then it would be easy.

1. Could that "knurling" be milled in?

2. How about a generic pilot hole if this was made? People could than drill and tap it to whatever size they needed.

1. Maybe, it's very fine though and would be best knurled with an actual knurling tool.

2. Most people won't have the tools to do this. Frankly, I'd rather not have to do this. Drilling such a small piece is tricky.
Maybe if the different makers bolts are close whoever made these could drill one hole and offer different threads.

I'll check the threading on my Bobadebt mount, but we'll need people to check the others.

I too think that having to drill and tap it may prove disastrous for some who haven't the proper tools or experience tapping. It's such a small part that even those with experience may have a bit of trouble keeping it secure while drilling/tapping. Hopefully every rendition of it by the various makers over the years have used the same threading as Bobadebt's standard threaded version.

I don't really have anything other than a ruler to measure it with. I can try, but they may not be exact. I'll let you know this evening after work.

I got it. What's the width of that knurled area? 1/8?

So if I make these, they're going to be $11 plus shipping each. Who wanted one?
