Endor blaster piston details?

Does anyone know for sure which versions of the Endor blaster had the piston details? If you look at the POSW page, you can see in the first picture, above the fake magazine, there is an outline and two holes that would be the exact size of the double V8 piston detail. In the second picture the double V8 piston detail is on the lower receiver of the M16/AR15. Then in the Visual Dictionary (same rifle as POSW picture 2 I'm guessing - below) there is a double piston in the same area (but on the left side) I believe there was one in the first POSW picture (on the right side), but it fell off. So what do you guys think?

My guess is that the pistons were originally on BOTH sides!

The holes you´re referring to match up exactly with the piston attachment on the rifles left side, as seen in your pic. So yes...add them :)

On a side note...I´m pretty sure there are too many -slight- variations of this rifle to say that all of them had the pistons. Just take a look at the different shoulder stocks, pump grips, AR15 grips and even the upper barrels.

So if you´re not up to recreate ONE specific version, you should be pretty free in your interpretation ;)

Thanks! I think that's what I'm going to do, is create my idea of the rifle. I'm going by the pics, but I think I'll add the V8 gear case piece to the left side of the magwell (to cover the make/model info) and the V8 pistons.
