Could this fabric be used for an Emperor Robe if dyed

It is difficult to see. The "pyramids" should go inwards and must not be too large.

Thinking of buying a yard to exmine. Only looking for 85% or higher accuracy of fabric I more care that it hangs correctly. If the "pyramids" go outwards can't i just turn it over?
