Electronics/Audio Sound byte/ Chip question

I'm working on a simple prop that I don't think has been done before, but I need some suggestions on two things. First, I need a small 1 second audio sound byte from a movie to be cleaned up and amplified so that the background noise is eliminated as much as possible.
Second, I need this sound to be stored on a board that can be mounted inside the prop in a way that the sound goes off when a door is opened. Maybe a magnet style activator like the ones on a home security system.

Basically, however it's accomplished, I need the sound to turn on instantly when a small door is opened. Sorry to be so vague, I just think this would be a really cool prop and don't want to ruin the surprise.

The sound byte is very familiar to me and may not be original to the movie, but while I can find similar sounds, I haven't been able to locate the exact one, so I'm thinking that ripping it off the movie might be the way to go if anyone knows how to pull audio cleanly from a dvd and clean it up.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

As far as electronics, toy quality sound is cheap and easy, but CD quality sound jumps the price up quickly...

The triggering is simple enough...

The biggest question is how much do you want to spend and how good do you want it to sound?

There is really no reason to clean up the sound that much if you are going the cheap toy quality sounds as it's going to poor either way, but if you go for the more expensive route then cleanup will certainly help out...

There are a few programs that will let you rip audio from a DVD and other programs to clean it up with. I have some of the mp3 players that were available a while back at a surplus electronic place I could write the file to. The trigger should be easy as it uses a momentary switch.
