Eggman's Chair from Sonic Unleashed - Advice?

Hello Everyone,

I have just been playing the latest in the video game series "Sonic the Hedgehog" - Sonic Unleashed. I am an avid Eggman fan - and my latest replica craving is for the chair (and possibly table) in his latest base! :lol

I just wondered if anyone here at The RPF could help me with what techniques would be needed to replicate this marvelous chair. I think it's pretty safe to say that it isn't possible to make it float :unsure - but I would like to make it in a perspex tube or something...

I thought it might be fiberglass, or something similar. In any case, I'm pretty certain it will not be a process I could do, so my second question is if you know of any business/anyone that could make something like this on commission? I don't have the money to do it right now, Definitely, but I do hope to make/purchase a replica of it in the (far) future.

Thank you for you help in advance! :lol

Dunno if L'eggs pantyhose still come in those egg containers but they'd be a good start for the chair.

The chair that they used on Men in Black the old 60's style egg thing cut back might work. If you could find one that is.

Thank you for your replies you three!

I do want a full size chair, but those old L'eggs pantyhose containers do look remarkably like it if I was making a model! :D

Great_Bizarro - I did actually think about the Ball Chair. :lol You can still get them for £590. But if it cracked, that would be a pricey mistake! That is where I got the idea that it might be fiberglass. The other problem is that they are spherical, while Eggman's chair is an "Oval."

Other furniture - that looks very similar to the chair are -

The Egg Chair/Pod (Ironically!)
The Tulip Chair

and a few other ones in the same vein. However, if possible, I want a Replica.

Interestingly, this chair can float, but that's because it is a large, flat-bottomed square, I think. Hover-It Lounger

You might be able to cut the Egg Pod into shape but, again, a HUGELY pricey mistake if you ruined it! (The other problem is that I don,t have a dirty great power tool the cut through fiberglass! and it's scary! :confused :lol)

Again, Thank you for all your advice. :) any other ideas welcome:lol.
