Sorry if this is old news to every one but i just looked at the efx page and saw the updated version with a Coming Soon,Ep4 Stormtropper helmet,
I may be wrong but this looks the same as the Mr LE that i have,Does anyone else think that the reason mr orders falling short is that efx took half of what the produced to start shipping later this summer?

It is the same there's a thread somewhere posted a few days ago :thumbsup
The reason the MR was short was because their licence ran out before they could make them.

So, what do folks think about MR picking up on other MR planned projects... Chewie crossbow, SS X Wing, SS Vader TIE, KiAdi Saber hilt, etc? Do you think they took over on those items as well?

I don't see why they couldn't have. Those were never finalized for sale, but we know prototypes and a lot of work went into creating those... and since they were never sold as an MR product... efx could easily just have procured the work and eventually issue the items under their banner.

Im hoping they take teh Shadow Trooper molds and do a WHITE symetrical trooper. It would be nice to have one of each,
Does anyone think the Ki adi saber would sell? Im personally kinda tired of the prequel stuff and would like to see the focus go back to OT. What Id REALLY like to see EFX do would be a DIORAMA line. Id love to see some accurate scaled dioramas of things like teh Lars Homestead, Docking Bay 94 (with Falcon), Death Star trench, etc.

If EFX get it right the sky is the limit for them, too many of us had a bad time with MR and their star wars range, Keeping Delivery times and quality standards should be their main focus,if they nail this i for one will keep going back for more and more.

It's possible that MR would sell that stuff to eFX, but it wouldn't make sense for MR to do so. They are still in existence, so any work that was done on the protos still is the property of MR, and it's to their advantage to not help out a rival prop producing company. They should force eFX to do their own work ups and research...

Since eFX is basically former MR workers, iirc, and since it is often custom for companies to buy already developed but possibly not produced products from each other... I think it would be an odd choice on the part of MR to do so.

By contract, I wonder if it may be that all of the R&D from MR was always owned by Lucasfilm Licensing and so just passes to the new licensee in that category?

Classic Reborn (which turned out UnBorn) got all the Icons research for the B9 when that license changed hands. Not to mention some masters and molds.

So it's not unheard of.

yep that is what happened. Did you see the GG New York Comic-Con pictures? they picked up the scale helmet line, and they are just MR with a new logo.

Actually it makes perfect sense for MR to sell eFX their research and tooling. It's worthless to MR otherwise because they don't have a licence to produce SW stuff and there's no competition selling something to a company so they can produce something that they can't themselves, might aswell claw some money back from the R+D they've done.
