eFX Reveals Stormtrooper Hero Legend Edition Helmet!

We have added the LEGEND ANH Stormtrooper to our site:

eFX Inc. - ANH HERO STORMTROOPER HELMET - LEGEND

Note, that this section is still under construction,

No kiddin' it's still under construction... I just hope the guys packing the helmets know the difference between a Stormtrooper and a Battlestar Galactica helmet..... cos clearly the eFX webmaster doesn't!
If anyone tries clicking on the 'Rollover Image' button, you'll see what I'm talkin' about! :lol

LOL.... just kidding :p Nice fade in/ fade out between the original Hero Stormtrooper helmet and the eFX Hero Stormtrooper prototype :thumbsup

Cheers,

I don't mean to be offensive, but as I am reading this thread I see a lot of people mention SiMan helmet and almost put it on the same line with eFX one. I am not a pro but does it actually make any difference if the helmet is licensed or not? And I mean in a lot of ways...

Also I was wondering if someone - Bryan or GINO hopefully :) can tell if the Legend line meant to be for helmets only or also for other props - I don't mean anything to do with something that looks like a gun - correct me if I am wrong but I think Bryan mentioned somewhere that it is very hard to export anything that looks like a gun from China and import anything that looks like a gun to a lot of countries. But it could be other props like lightsabers for instance..?

I see one post only saying they would rather not see eFX make a stunt helmet later on down the line and would prefer a different direction.
The SiMan helmet is a stunt helmet the eFX is a hero so no comparison between the two other than they are both cast from original helmets.
In that sense they are on the same level but it's two distinctly different props neither one would serve as a replacement or alternative to the other.

For me it was always a big difference if a product is licensed or fan made. But I guess I was wrong in a sense - it doesn't matter if it is licensed or not - it only matters how close it is to the original?

Since the dawning of licensed "prop replicas" Licensed pieces seem to always be... "improved" by whatever company is making it.

They think that by "fixing" things that the originals had that were say... assymetrical parts in the sculpt or uneven pieces/greeblies... and "fix them"...

Meaning RUINING what the original scuptor or propmaster made for the movie. :(

The people here at the RPF strive for PERFECTION to what the original was (well all us old timers anyway) and 99.99 times out of 100 when a fan/RPFer would purchase a REAL screen used version of the same prop and cast it... Making an EXACT copy of what the original was... we would all get the original fan casting if given the chance over the liscensed piece. ;)

eFx has just changed the game. MR started the move towards COMPLETE ACCURACY...

eFx just took the notch up a billion feet higher! (y)cool:thumbsup

I agree with Defstar that the Si-Man and eFx hero aren't even a comparison or a threat to either other... uhh... one? :lol

If you still don't understand what the difference in MOST liscensed pieces and what eFx are NOW doing... compare the eFx CE trooper helmet to this one.

If you don't see it?

"Move along, move along."

:angel

I agree totally eFX are definitely raising the bar. They see a gap in the market for super accurate replicas. They are also a company that appear to listen to their customers and hopefully they will go from strength to strength.

From the Q&A session with Bryan at the Rebelscum forum the price is going to be in $500-$600 range.
