eFX Luke ROTJ Lightsaber Reveal Preorder Finally Coming Up

No question they are different animals, one was hand-made here in the USA, while another will be mass-produced in China but they are replicating the same prop and while it is a Proto there are a few things that are totally wrong with it.

I would also like to know what you are comparing it to in deciding that it does not look correct. If you are comparing it to Rylo's Reveal, that is unfair to both of them as they are completely different animals.

It's a Prototype that was made over a year ago.

If the final version is the same way, then speak with your wallet and don't buy it. If you want perfect, buy Rylo's. I would have bought his, but I could not afford it, so this is the next best thing as far as I'm concerned, even if it has a few very small issues.

C'mon Bro you should know better then to come on this board with that argument. :lol

We want exact replicas! :D

Now... I am confused...

Here is the 2010 SDCC prototype :

And now, the 2011 SDCC prototype :

I might be wrong... But I think the last one will be the closest version of what we will receive...

The newer one sure is purty but I still like the one Slothfurnace made more than any other that I've seen. I just wish he had time to take commissions.

Does anybody know if the eFX Luke ROTJ Reveal Lightsaber will have sounds (powerup, -down, humming) like on this video I found from a eFX Obi Wan Kenobi Xtreme Lightsaber? eFX Collectibles Obi-Wan Kenobi Xtreme Lightsaber Demo on Vimeo

Thanking you in anticipation :)

Nope, no sounds.
Bryan also said that the maker mixed up the brass and the copper on the 2011 prototype and that that will be corrected in the shipping version.

That is a great news. The painted brass finish is more accurate then the high polished copper. If I'm correct the actual saber had brass flat head screws on the control box uder the led arrows. I wonder if that will be corrected as well.

eFX is not offering an 'exact' replica of the known Elstree reveal so which screws on what saber are you comparing things to?

The actual Elstree saber does not have working LED arrows and there are numerous other differences that the casual collector probably wouldn't notice.

The saber seen in the new footage is the MoM saber. EFX is making a bit of a hybrid saber; A cross between the Elstree and the MoM.

I believe they're doing a fantastic job of bridging that gap of what people like about the Elstree and what you'll see in the new footage. :thumbsup

I own a couple of your sabers Rylo, and my knowledge of details in sabers can't be compared to what you know, meaning you know far more then I do. Based on custom kits and sabers that are made by fellow collectors I always had this idea that the actual saber used in the movie and of that used on the deleted scene had a painted copper on the control box and the neck and brass screws. However, as much as I love lightsabers, I'm not an expert in knowing every little detail that someone like you would easily notice.
