After not getting the MR version, being this close to finally getting one of these made my day.
Great to see efx doing an update like this for the buyers too!

Retailers will be sent their order at the same time that we send the Tricorders to our direct customers. So, it will probably take about 10-14 days before our retailers will start to ship their orders out.

You figure they have to be shipped to the dealer, which would take the same amount of time as if they were shipping directly to a customer and then the dealer has to ship it to you. So, it might take an extra week or so.

The Tricorders were scheduled to ship from China on January 30th. Has anyone heard if they actually did ship out?

I just received the latest eFX newsletter and it says the Tricorders are in route and expected on time.

It also says that ROTJ Luke Version 2 Lightsaber and the ROTS Anakin & Obi-Wan Lightsabers will be in stock by the middle of this month.

Good thing Income Tax Returns will be coming soon, it looks like we are going to need it.

Did I read correctly in the news letter that you have to buy the display case as an add on once the Tricorders come in???? angry

I guess I should have asked but I assumed they came the same way the MR pieces came with plaque and display case. It will probably be a $100.00 add on to the price of the piece. cry

Yes it is an add on although it is not that much more.

Yeah, they do not include the cover for the display, just the stand. So, you have to buy the cover separately and I think it is about $39.00 or $49.00.

So far, none of eFX replicas have come with a cover. But, at least with the Tricorder and the X-Wing, you can buy it from them instead of having to find a place to make it for you if you really want one.

They sold more holsters than dust covers at this point anyhow (according to retailer numbers) so I think it was a good move on their point from a cost to them slash price to consumer perspective. I of course want both the cover and the holster!

I feel like the unofficial update guy for this thread. The eFX crew is busy trying to get us this product. Latest reports on the boat schedule leaves me to report our "soon-to-be-uncursed" tricorder with another slight delay. Dont worry though, this one isnt too bad. The tricorders had ought to arrive 2/21 and start shipping promptly! The wait is almost over...

Same here. At least someone is telling us what is happening. You would think that after what happened with MR, they would go out of their way to keep us informed. We know they belong to the RPF and post here once in a while, so how hard would it be for them to let us know what is going on, even if it just says 'Nothing new to Report, but everything is on time'.

I'm not fretting, I'm just saying I wish they would keep us more informed. Yes, they do send out e-mail updates every few months, but most of us would like to hear something more often, even if it doesn't tell us anything.

I also wish eFX the best and I'm not bashing them like a lot of others seem to take pleasure in doing. I'm really looking forward to their Light Sabers and the rest of their Star Trek Line.

He does, Bryan posts on the board every so ofter. As a matter of fact, he posted a couple of days ago to announce the new Darth Vader helmet. That is why I think it would be nice to hear from him once in a while about this. How long can it take?
