Thats a pretty low edition size. Glad i preordered it, this is also my first trek prop and can't wait. I wonder when EFX will announce their next trek prop.

I think if they announced a ST3 comm, I would prob faint. :lol
I would rather it was something new, such as any of the TOS Movie Comms, Phasers and Tricorders. Except for the Star Trek V/VI Assualt Phaser, nothing has ever been made from the TOS Movies, except in small non license runs.
This is not a dig at eFX for redoing the Stormtrooper Helmet and First Contact Tricorders. I've seen lots of posts from people that are complaining about eFX just redoing everything MR did and the fact is they have only done the Stromtrooper Helmet and the Tricorder and both of them were products that were cut short when MR bit the dust. I for one have no problem with that since I was one of the people screwed by MR.

Got my email as well, and I qualified for the free holster too. Yay!
I expect all of you, to use that holster daily and where your tricorders proudly in public!
Same here. I'm also getting the free Holster, although I would rather have gotten a free case, but I'll still take it.

When you announced that you were completing the Mark IXs you stated that you wanted to make some improvements on the MR version to correct some things that you didn't like about it. Here are some of the changes we made:
We corrected the color.
We corrected the diffused/clear areas over the the LED's
We added a missing part under one of the light bars
We improved (even slightly) the reed switch so that it activates a little sooner when closing the door.
