As for the release time frame...They will ship end of November from Hong Kong and should arrive within the first two weeks of December. The only thing that could hold it up now is customs. Also there may potentially be an issue with Brent Spiners availablility because although the display plaques are in they have not yet been signed, and he may be out of town for a few (as of yet unknown) days still this month.

When I ordered they said they would not be shipping until late January. Not sure if that is for earlier orders or just orders placed in the last month.

Is that the eFX Tricorder or the MR Tricorder and have you heard anymore on when they might be shipping?

I Skyped customer service today and was told that the plaques Brent Spiner is to sign were not up to scratch so new plaques had to be ordered. Mr. Spiner should then sign them next week and they will then be shipped to China and packed with the tricorders; the tricorders will then ship from China. Bottom line... on the conservative side the earliest shipping would be second week in January 2010.

I'd say yes. Imagine the calamity that would ensue if ALL the plaques that were sent out were somehow messed up or the signatures were smudged? It wouldn't be a great way to start off the product line.

I have to admit that one of the causes of the totally impule buy of this Tricoder was because I can display Spinners signature net to my Stuart MR phaser :lol. Honestly for the price difference where else can you get a certified authentic signature for around the $100.00 difference int price that it usually costs on these replicas? I think it is a really nice bonus.
