You ordered from a third party that may or may not have been authorized to resale, and they couldn't fulfill their orders, but it's eFx's fault? Had you ordered directly you would have received your order months ago.
With all the garbage going on with eFX right now I doubt it was Action Figure Express (AFX)'s fault that they were allocated X amount of pieces into their order run. Maybe they're pulling out because they're getting a lot of customer flack on their preorders that haven't been fulfilled for so long and have since cancelled.
It's possible this might be a business decision to save face for themselves and cease continued dealings with a company that cannot produce product when they said they would ship within reason.
Let's say AFX has 3 eFX pieces they're offering right now to customers (just as an example) and here's what I could see happening:
1. Preorder goes up for 3 products, 40 pieces each, totaling 120 products. All 120 pieces on presell sell out
2. Initial promise date passes and a week later a handful of people inquire what is going on. CS attempts to reach eFX.
3. eFX responds saying there's a production delay of 3 months; AFX informs customers of the delay.
4. 4 months pass and no product in-hand. More angry customers come forward followed by another response by eFX of a delay and new timeline.
5. 3 more months pass, repeat complaints from customers. AFX Starts to look bad because they can't keep their promise to their customers because of eFX.
You begin to see this consistent issue will now become a business problem between their relation with eFX. I doubt AFX wants to be affiliated with a company that cannot follow through on their promises. Regardless of their fantastic quality, this is NOT good business and can ruin a company's reputation.
BUT I don't know for sure if that is why.... I can only speculate one scenario as to why, which seems to be echoing around TheRPF with their orders being fulfilled.
The Star Wars Biker Scout is creeping up on 2 years since preorder. I believe their initial show preview prototype was back in 2012 or 2013.
