Edwardian detachable collar - Anyone have a source or pattern for one?

I want one like this:

Victorian & Edwardian Clothing for Women & Men - 99-high-round-tip-detachable-collar--style-060-c

That one is just about perfect, but it's also $30, which is more than I want to spend since I'm probably only going to wear this once or twice. I feel like it's something I might even be able to make myself if I just had a pattern to guide me.

I definitely want a high one like that though (it's 2 3/4" tall), not the low/regular sized ones.

Thanks for any tips.

posterboard frame with a white dress shirt fabric spray adhesived onto it. thats all ya need bro. :D maybe some stitching around the edges if you want it looking better.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but a pattern would sure make things easier.
If not I guess I could just play around with paper patterns of my own until I get something decent, but I'm not very good at that sort of thing.

Here are some links that might help....
they have a picture pretty much like your collar pic, but I don't think there was an actual pattern for it.

There are other patterns, so you should be able to figure out the shape and size and how they go together enough to make your own pattern.....

This was pretty cool, you'd have to change it to your shape instead of the wing collar...

I ended up getting this one:
Perry Collar

I figure for $2.80 I can't go wrong. And I can always make one or buy a more expensive one later if this one's not good enough.

Wow, $2.80, you couldn't even buy a pattern for that.....
So, yeah, if all else fails, you can use it for a pattern to make your own.

It was very late when I gathered and posted that last night, I didn't even see the 'ready mades'!!
How much was shipping?

Shipping was about $5-6. I got a pair of cheap paper cuffs to go along with it and all in I think I spent $11.
Yes, I'm thinking that I might use the paper collar as the basis for a pattern (I wanted one a bit taller so that would be easily remedied.)

Well, I see my help is no longer needed. I was going to suggest Amazon Dry Goods. I actually used one of these to get a pattern for a Perry collar that I replicated in fabric. Heavily interfaced cotton.
I'd suggest taking the pattern off it straight off. The paper collars tend to wear out easily. Sometimes even rip when putting them on.

Darth Mule,
Thanks for the tip about doing the pattern before I even try to wear the collar. I'll do that. But I still could use your help. I work with leather and metal but I'm useless with sewing and fabric.
How exactly do I create a cloth collar once I have the Perry collar as a pattern? And feel free to mention all the steps and treat me like an idiot.
Thanks in advance for your time!
I'll try to post some photos of my process and the finished product in case this thread comes up in someone's search someday in the future.

In case this thread does come up in the future, Amazon Pickling and Dry Goods is in the process of going out of business. :cry They are selling off all their remaining stock.

Make one out of white styrene. Just take neck measurements, cut to design, then heat and fold/bend.
