Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Thanks guys. Glad you approve. The pilots truncate at the waist in the same way the ILM figures do. Infact these pilots have slightly more body and detail than the ILM originals. The ILM figures didn't have the pilots chest boxes which I have included.

I can't give an exact timescale as to when I will actually be able to sell finished kits as there are too many demands on my time at the moment, but I will be making a big dent in the moulding work this side of Xmas. I'll just have to hope you guys save some pennies for the New Year!

Nick

Thats awesome news on the pilots Nick, and cool, New Year is good, the pennies are already polished buddy :lol

Nick ,that is just outstanding I cant express how amazing it looks. Seriously top work

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Wow that really is just amazing the detail you have captured.
Beautiful work!

I do hope when ya get that stress out the way with the good castings that you might continue to take more orders for this fine piece?
You can put me down for one if you ever do!

Thanks. Glad you like it. I'll put your name down :)

I'm working on the moulds at the moment. Jury is still out on whether the main hull moulds have worked out first time round. I plan to do a full test cast of both parts next week to make sure they mate up ok. Got a few other parts under rubber aswell. Its taking a while as I'm doing the tough stuff first!

I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

Cheers
Nick

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

I too look forward to the "My Snowspeeder build" threads that will undoubtedly spring up when you go into production. I want this kit very much.

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Nick, Snowspeeder, soon, ooooh, molds, time off in March????, Ooooh. Post dated cheque, Oooooh, Nick, Snowspeeder, soon, ooooh..........................................

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

It's hard to maintain rational thought, thinking about this, isn't it? :lol

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Heh heh, thanks guys. Your enthusiasm is a great boost as always.

BTW: I'm also now looking into getting proper decals made up for the speeder. Wasn't sure if this was going to be viable but thru one of the two guys who helped me get the info I needed to start this project, it looks like I can offer spot on stuff :)

It will mean I need to re assess the final unit price...which I was going to have to do anyway once the dust has settled in the workshop, but I can't see the cost leaping up badly.

Cheers

Re: Echo Station 57, we're on our way....slowly

Thats no problem Nick, cost wise it was priced pretty low anyway, but im in whatever!
Decals would be a great addition, especially the smaller markings along the canopy etc!
