Ebony Mace from Skyrim

So I decided I needed a challenge and turning to Skyrim I saw the ebony mace.

It has lots of pointy bits and some details to keep me busy and push my creativity.

First I scaled it and drew it out. the mace head itself will be about 10 inches tall


Then I went about cutting the MDF and styrene to make a layer sandwich.


Then using bondo I built up the cutting edge of the blade. There has to be a better way to do this. I am not well versed in how to use bondo yet.


Now I am working on the next layer of details using the flex shaft tool on my dremel.


I feel like I need a real Flex shaft

Not really much of a mace person (never used one while playing), but its cool to see somebody doing one. keep us updated! Done a few weapons in the past, if you need any advice just ask. I'll help you to the best of my ability.

Nice. Not too many people like maces. It's nice to see someone tackle another one. If the head is ten inches, how long will the whole thing be? my orc mace is 27" long.

The head makes up about 1 third of the mace's length so when all is done it should be about 30 inches long.
