I bought this item from the seller because I wanted to see if he had any other pages from the Kara Thrace file that was up for auction for my collection. His pics made it hard to see detail but it looked good, clipped corners and all.
When I received the file it looked like the entire set of pages were just photo copied. None of the corners were clipped and the first page was larger than the rest. I thought immediately this was copied from soemplace and looked closer at the small font paragraphs found throughout most BSG docs. I recognized them and then found Phoenixvader's tell. I had purchased his docs months prior and compared them.
I complained to the seller on Ebay and this is our exchange:
Me - The Kara Thrace File I received is photocopied from the original. The original being some one elses work, it has there name on it. The main page is off center and larger than the rest and the photo sent has the ends cut off. This is unsatisfactory and I am not pleased with the product. I make paper prop replicas myself. There was nothing in the description that Thank you for your attention.
Seller - The description clearly states that these are for fun use only- I never claimed to make any of them, and that is why they are cheap- the photo was a bonus- it was not part of the listing . You probably bought these to make copies for sale- and your attitude is abysmal, you cannot even appreciate free items thrown in for fun. These are all items I have had here, sold to share for FUN only, maybe you should ask questions before you buy as these were not sold as originals!!!!!!
Description of product - Battlestar Galactica fan made prop reproduction of Captain Kara Thrace Starbuck medical chart file, recycled folder with i.d. label, BSG logo sticker and seven pages of various medical data including brain scan, blood work, dental and psych reports.
It says nothing about "FOR FUN USE ONLY". His rating was good and I assumed that being a prop replicator myself and that these were stated as fan made prop replicas they would be clear and uniform docs. I understand throwing in free items as well, I do it all the time. I don't how ever include trash. This is my reputation, free or not. I liek the way he accuses me of wanting to do exactly what he has done. My attitude is bad because I have been cheated.
Needless to say I was very disappionted and now out $13.00. He clearly states no returns and something on his Ebay store about going out of business due to health. Sorry to hear about the health issue but not an excuse to steal other peoples work and pass it off as your own for profit.
Just needed to vent. Thank you for listening. I am glad Phoenixvader got the items pulled.
