dummy head

hi guys just want some advice.

i want a dummy head and i just want to know what you guys think of this one for starters

this should ok for carving on shouldn't it?

would i be able to paint a resin on this one to make it tougher? seeing its polystirene

I have the 1st one, it looks down slightly which is a pain in the arse, hense why i found one that looked straight on and had a longer neck.

yeah i know, did try once but it went all wrong. did a front face one of my brother a few months back and that came out ok but im the only one in the house that has an idea of what to do.

Like Fett said a life cast is the best way to go

But if you do go for a dummy head get one with a longer neck and keep in mind that the heads on dummys/mannequins are not usually as big as an average head and you will get shrinkage if casting your mask in latex.

when sculpting tyr making it about an inch bigger all round than what you want the finished peice to be.

That is if you are talking about sculpting a mask ??
