DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

@ Indy

I'm no embroidery professionel, but imo you should try to work on the length of the stitches - the stitches on the original seem a lot longer than in your or steadys scorpion.
Second, there should be only one layer of thread (except the areas with darker colour - there it looks like double layers). You can clearly see the fabric underneath, shining through. My mom used to own a home emroidery machine back in the 80s which did bad stitching just like that.
So either try to get hold of an old semi professional machine or program the big machine to just do one thin layer, like a foundation or background layer.

Good luck!

Okay. So today, I got the jacket. Needless to say, their size chart was 100% ****ed. I originally ordered a S, but messaged GetGoRetro and then asked for a L instead. When I put the L on, it was very, very tight. Not TOO bad, but considering it was 2 sizes bigger than the original jacket I wanted - I was shocked.

Now it seems I'll be getting an XL, or maybe even a 2X. Wow. Maybe I'll post some photos of the L being worn. I am 6' 1-2". We'll see.

please post a pic!

Sure thing. Here's a crappy webcam photo I took before re-packing it. Very slim fit. Looks good - until I move.

Not as much of a nice fit as it looks. When I move my arms, I can feel the other side being moved too, like there isn't enough room on the one side for movement and it has to use the other to compensate. My t-shirt pokes out of the bottom too.

wow they really ****ed up on their size chart.

Like you wouldn't believe. The jacket itself is everything I expected it to be, it's beautifully made, the only thing wrong is the stitching but I don't want to beat a dead horse bringing that up.

Basically, yeah. I ended up with a L when my original order was S and I'm still sending it back for a bigger size.

Damn. Based on the size chart, I ordered an XS and if everything was correct, the jacket would be a slim fit with some chest room (which is okay by me). I don't want it to be super tight.

What is your height and weight and everything? I thought for sure my jacket would fit based on the chart. I think I will be getting a XXL, believe it or not. That way I can wear something underneath, other than a t-shirt.

I'm 5'3 and 120lbs. Skinny guy. The XS size chart reading, almost everything is about 1 to 2 inches bigger than my favorite jacket (which is a perfect fit for me).

Did you measure your favorite jacket like they said to do?

I did measure the one jacket I have that would be a similar fit to this. The measurements seemed great for a Small, but then when I heard here they were a bit small-fitting, I asked for a Large and thought I was risking it.

You are a skinny guy, it might actually fit you. If not, just return it. You'd get the right size in January/February.

AdamL,
I also got L and it looks like Large fits you way more loose than me.
Looking at your pic, it seems kinda baggy and it appears that the sleeves look baggy too.
I think XL will be too big for you.
Just my opinion.

I'll post a few more pictures tomorrow. When I put it on, my mom said "Wow. That is ridiculous. Why did you buy a kid's jacket?"

How tall are you? The jacket looks like it fits you quite well.
