Hey all,

This is probably one of those times where the pictures say it all. I'll just say that Mike, Pat, Melissa and myself all logged a lot of hours on this beast and we're quite proud of how the old girl turned out.

I hope you enjoy seeing Vermithrax in all her glory.

You'll find more photos and info on our site:
Dragonslayer Dragon Prop Restoration - the lifesized head, screen used in the movie!

Even more pics in the youtube slideshow as well: Dragonslayer Lifesized Prop Restoration and Sculpture project - YouTube

We've been posting sneak peeks of this (and many other projects) on our Facebook page, so if you like this sort of thing, please join us over there: http://www.facebook....TomSpinaDesigns

A little sense of scale:

We created a fully removable neck to hide the welded wall mount. This splits down the center to attach and detach with magnets.

And finally, about half way through the packing process (had to make sure she got home safely!)

Again and again and again... beautiful work!
And even after all those years it still get's bigger! Congratulations, Tom!

I saw Dragonslayer in the theater as a kid and loved it! Great job bringing her back to life, thanks for sharing :thumbsup

Saw this movie when it first came out. I'm surprised she's still around after 30 years. Excellent movie. Thanks for all the love put back into her.

Thank you! It was our pleasure and amazing to work on such a cool piece!

Wow, now THAT is impressive!
May I ask where the dragon is now? At a museum?

Thanks! It's in a private collection, though one worthy of a museum!

Tom
