Guessing it was the moneymen who came up with the idea..
Back in the early 70s I collected old OG Marvel, then the mid 70s they re drew rebooted the whole Marvel Universe..if you read them long enough you were just reading old stories re published..Marvel Starwars comic was hideous at this, bulking the comic out with 60s strips etc. I lost count how many times Spiderman was rebooted and given an Ep1 title.. I did like the Landscape Marvel comics but it was a fad which died out quite quickly..

Id prefer Tony to be RDJ but does look like they are bringing in the What If universe so it could be Happy for All we know..lol

Not kidding… or they find really strange excuses how to bring people back from the dead

One of my favorite xmen stories was “new xmen” I loved that run.. grant Morrison.. loved it

Though Ironman 1 is my favorite I love Ironman 3.. I know I’ll get alot a heat from it, but I like the broken suit and him not being able to depend on his armor

The iron patriot I love.. wish we could see more of that suit

I love Trevor Slattery...
No its a great movie and the comedy works well the rapour really flows and hey whats better than Two suits!...
 
Others mentioned What if? and it reminded me of Neil Gaiman’s 1602. That was also a lot of fun- a really cool perspective on what superheroes might be like in a different time.
